Most Dangerous Cities in the U.S by Homicide Rates
Even though America is an economic juggernaut, it ranks low in life expectancy in comparison to other nations. This is due to a number of factors, many of which are highly debated such as obesity and gun violence.
The graph above shows 15 American cities with the highest homicide rates per 100,000 people. Some of these cities may come as a shock however many are expected such as Baltimore and St. Louis, two notoriously dangerous cities with much higher rates then the other 13.
As expected Detroit also makes an appearance high up on the list, with a housing market where many houses are under $1000 that rank comes as no surprise.
